American sprint sensation has fired warning shots at Shericka Jackson and Elaine Thompson as she sets lofty ambitions after a great start to her season.

Gabby Thomas, Shericka Jackson’s track rival is leaving no stone unturned as she sets lofty ambitions ahead of the Olympic Games in Paris, France.

The World 200m silver medallist opened her season with the 300m race at the 29th edition of the New Balance Indoor Grand Prix held at New Balance in Boston on Sunday, February 4.

She clocked an impressive time of 35.75 seconds as Nigerian athlete Favour Ofili and fellow American Lynna Irby finished second and third in respective times of 35.99 seconds and 36.05 seconds.

After dominating the race, Thomas expressed her interest in bagging the Olympic gold medal in the 200m race.

“I really want a gold medal and I know what that's going to take. So, I just didn't even go on vacation, I didn't do a lot of partying.

“I'm just like, I need to rest. I need to rest my soul, get my mind right, get ready for this Olympic year," Thomas said.

Thomas and Jackson went toe-to-toe at the World Championships in Budapest, Hungary last year where the Jamaican was the eventual winner of the race.

Thomas has already begun her season on a high note and set her targets but Jackson is yet to open her season. She has postponed her season opener twice.

Meanwhile, the American also took to her Instagram to share the victory with her fans as she posted a series of pictures dedicating her win to the fans.

The 27-year-old spent a few moments with the Boston Lions Track Club and she was also seen signing autographs, clicking pictures, and presenting a flower bouquet to fans post her race. She was also seen posing for a picture with her boyfriend Spencer McManes, a football player.

Gabby Thomas captioned this series of pictures: "Who I do it for.”
