A dominant 46-point difference victory summed it up, with Egypt winning 102-56, led by Salem Ahmed Sherif, who scored 18 points and six rebounds.

Day four of the FIBA Zone V Afrobasket Women's qualifiers saw all teams, but the hosts, Uganda, face off at the MTN Arena Lugogo.

First on the floor was Egypt against Rwanda. Having lost to Uganda’s Gazelles in their last game, the Egyptians wanted to make a statement which they did.

A dominant 46-point difference victory summed it up, with Egypt winning 102-56, led by Salem Ahmed Sherif, who scored 18 points and six rebounds.

Soraya Mohammed added 17 points, while Asrar Baker and Raneem Elgadeway posted 12 and 11 points, respectively.

Aussoma Uwizeye stood out for Rwanda with 15 points and seven rebounds, while Sandrine Mushikwibawo and Odile Tetero each contributed 10 points.

The win was Egypt's second in three games at the qualifiers, meaning they remain in contention to earn a slot at next year's Afrobasket finals.

Rwanda, meanwhile, remains winless at the qualifiers, as hosts, Rwanda has already qualified for the showpiece, which will be hosted at the BK Kigali Arena.
