Pulse Sports also understands that UCA board member Alvin Mboijana and the association accountant have resigned.
UCA has officially named assistant coach Jackson Ogwang as the interim head coach for the Cricket Cranes, just in time for the World Cup qualifiers in Namibia.
Denis Musali, the UCA media manager, confirmed this development to Pulse Sports: "Jackson Ogwang has served as the assistant coach for the past six years.”

CRICKET CEO Allan Mugume resigns as UCA moves to replace Mahatlane
Mugume, who took over the reins from former Cricket Cranes player Martin Ondeku in July 2022, resigned from his position for personal reasons, Pulse Sports can confirm.
“Initially under Steve Tikolo and subsequently under Mahatlane. He deeply understands the team and its players.”
He added: "Working alongside Mahatlane over the last three years, they have diligently prepared the team for this critical moment.”

Following their recent participation in the East Africa T20 Cup in Kigali, Rwanda, the Cricket Cranes have resumed training at the Lugogo Cricket Oval, intensifying their preparations for the upcoming qualifiers.
Uganda is set to compete in the T20 World Cup qualifiers, scheduled between November 20th and December 2nd in Namibia.
