Barcelona winger Lamine Yamal talks about his record breaking debut for Spain.

Barcelona youngster Lamine Yamal made his international debut for the Spanish today in their European Champions qualifier victory against Georgia, and he was in high spirits after the match.

Record breaking Yamal

The 16-year-old became Spain's youngest-ever debutant and goalscorer, as he fired the ball into the net in La Roja's 7-1 win.

The Spanish-Moroccan broke the record set by his Barcelona teammate, who became the youngest goalscorer for Spain last year at 17 years and 304 days.

Also, Yamal's debut age (16 years, 57 days), according to Opta, is the third youngest male footballer who has made his debut for a European national team, behind Northern Ireland's Sam Johnston in 1882 (15 years, 160 days) and Hungary's Jozsef Horvath in 1906 (16 years, 12 days).
