A reliable source within BUL FC has confirmed that Kikomeko will be unveiled as the club's new head coach once he completes his duties with Mbale Heroes.

Abbey Kikomeko is on the verge of completing a deal to become the new head coach of BUL FC.

Speculation about Kikomeko's appointment has been circulating since the end of the season, but the process was delayed due to his commitments with Mbale Heroes.

However, with the conclusion of the Regional League playoffs approaching, Kikomeko is now ready to finalize the agreement and begin his tenure at BUL FC.

Kikomeko, who joined Mbale Heroes in October 2022, wanted to honor his commitment to the team and focus on their promotion campaign in the playoffs.

Mbale Heroes currently holds a commanding 5-0 lead over Bukedea Central FC in the Eastern region playoffs, with just 90 minutes remaining to secure their promotion.

A reliable source within BUL FC has confirmed that Kikomeko will be unveiled as the club's new head coach once he completes his duties with Mbale Heroes.

The club's management believes that Kikomeko is the ideal candidate to lead the team and bring about a positive change in their fortunes.

Swift Sports reports that James Magala, who previously worked with the club under Alex Isabirye, will head Kikomeko's backroom staff.

Magala's experience and familiarity with BUL FC make him a valuable addition to the coaching team.

Kikomeko, a CAF B license holder, has an impressive track record in Ugandan football.

He notably guided Busoga United to promotion to the topflight in the 2015/16 season, and also helped the club stay afloat in the top flight amidst deep financial and ownership challenges.

BUL FC has been under the interim guidance of Simeone Masaba following the departure of Alex Isabirye, who joined Vipers SC during the previous season.

The team finished eighth last season, which was deemed below their usual standards, and after spending the first half of the season amongst the top three.

With the arrival of Kikomeko, the club aims to regain their competitive edge and challenge for higher positions in the league.
