It has been three years since K'Ogalo last lifted the title.

Gor Mahia head coach Johnathan McKinstry is banking on a multitude of K'Ogalo fans to thrust them to the league title and a Mashemeji Derby victory on Sunday.

K'Ogalo, currently on top of the league standings, will be keen to take home maximum points with Tusker breathing on their neck as the league enters the home stretch.

And at this stage, McKinstry has stated that his charges need physical and emotional support to oust their rivals and requested fans to show up in large numbers to drum up support for their club.

"In the first leg, we saw a large crowd of maybe 15,000 fans but we want to make sure that we get even more. We want to show the strength of K'Ogalo supporters," he said in an interview with the club media.

"It is an important moment of the season, so it is not just about an individual game against AFC, but can we add three more points in our push to reclaim the title? Supporters will play a huge part in that."

Gor Mahia are chasing their 20th league title and are perched on top of the standings with 63 points, two points clear of defending champion Tusker.

However, any slip-up by either side could change the script altogether with five matches remaining until the season's end.

Tusker, on 61 points, will be facing Kariobangi Sharks, the 11th side on the table, at Nyayo National Stadium on Saturday.

Both matches will be beamed live by Tanzania's Azam TV, who have pumped a figure estimated to be Ksh Sh8.2 million in the broadcasting deal with Football Kenya Federation.

All 18 clubs will cumulatively receive Ksh7.3 million to divide equally amongst themselves, which translates to about Ksh400,000 per club.

The club revealed that regular tickets will sell at Ksh200 while VIP ones will go for Ksh500.
