However, Hamilton dismissed the rumours, stating, "My team is working closely behind the scenes with (team boss) Toto (Wolff), we are almost at the end of having a contract ready."

Hamilton, addressing reporters ahead of the Monaco Grand Prix, expressed his relief at no longer having to handle negotiations on his own, a process he described as stressful.

He added, "Having a team focus on that so I can just do my job, it's a much better position than I was in before."

When asked directly about contact with Ferrari, the British driver promptly replied with a simple "no."

Furthermore, Ferrari team boss, Fred Vasseur, confirmed that there have been no discussions between the two parties.

Vasseur acknowledged the appeal of having Hamilton in their line-up but clarified that no offer had been made.

Reports had emerged earlier suggesting that Ferrari was preparing a £40 million ($50.48 million) deal to secure Hamilton alongside Charles Leclerc.

While some publications hinted at a "foundation of truth" in the story, Hamilton reiterated that unless news comes from him directly, it should be treated as speculation.
