The Kabalega Rally, organized by the Central Motor Club (CMC), proved to be a thrilling spectacle as drivers tackled a challenging 185-kilometer route over two days of intense action.

The rally encompassed a total of 113.47 kilometres of competitive distance, testing the mettle and resilience of the participating teams.

Nasser dominated the Kabalega Rally after inheriting the lead from Lwakataka in the second stage. He led by 90 seconds at the end of the first day, and maintained his lead over the second leg.

The Moil Rally Team demonstrated their prowess by winning in five out of the eight stages, further solidifying their position at the summit of the NRC leader board.

While Nasser asserted his dominance, Lwakataka and his co-driver Paul Musaazi displayed unwavering resilience, relentlessly pursuing the leaders.

However, their aspirations were hampered by double punctures, ultimately settling for a commendable second-place finish in the rally's overall standings.

Duncan Mubiru and Joseph Bongole encountered initial challenges during the rally but showcased their tenacity and skill by mounting a strong comeback on the second day.

Their commendable recovery efforts propelled them to secure the final podium position, ahead of Ronald Ssebuguzi. Umar Dauda rounded out the top five finishers overall.

In the fiercely contested two-wheel drive category, Ibrahim Lubega displayed remarkable consistency, securing a resounding victory.

Julius Semambo secured second place, while reigning champion Oscar Ntambi resurrected from his trouble on the first day to finish third in the support category.

Nasser's triumph in Hoima extends his lead in the championship standings to an impressive 290 points, placing him comfortably ahead of his closest rival, Mubiru, with a margin of 57 points.

With such a commanding lead, Nasser has firmly established himself as the driver to beat in the quest for the NRC title.

The MOIL Rally Team crew has dominated the early season carlendars in Uganda, Tanzania as well as the African National Rally Championship (ARC).

Besides looking primed for their second title in Uganda, they also top the Tanzanian championship and the ARC.
