With his co-driver Ali Katumba by his side, Nasser will put his Ford Fiesta R5 on the line as he goes in search of victory in the WRC 3 support class on the thrilling Safari Rally stage, which will take place from 21 to 25 June.

The highly anticipated Safari Rally Kenya is just around the corner, and all eyes are on Yassin Nasser, the sole Ugandan crew set to compete in this prestigious event.

With his co-driver Ali Katumba by his side, Nasser will put his Ford Fiesta R5 on the line as he goes in search of victory in the WRC 3 support class on the thrilling Safari Rally stage, which will take place from 21 to 25 June.

Nasser's participation in the Safari Rally holds special significance, as he currently leads the African Rally Championship, the Uganda Championship, and the Tanzanian Rally Championship.

This talented duo has been consistently delivering impressive performances, making them a force to be reckoned with in the African rallying scene.

While Nasser and Katumba carry the hopes of Uganda, they will face fierce competition from a strong contingent of Kenyan crews in the category.

Among them, Karan Patel, Hamza Anwar, Jeremiah Wahome, and McRae Kimathi lead the pack.

Patel, a recipient of the 2022 Motorsports Personality of the Year award, will be piloting a Ford Fiesta Rally2 alongside his experienced navigator Tauseef Khan.

Anwar, known for his lightning speed, will be behind the wheel of a Ford Fiesta R3, aiming to secure points in both the Junior WRC and Rally3 categories.

Wahome and Kimathi, seasoned campaigners in the Ford Fiesta Rally3, bring their wealth of experience to the table as they vie for success in this challenging event.

The Safari Rally Kenya also boasts an impressive line-up of top-level Rally1 cars.

Defending champions Kalle Rovanperä and Sébastien Ogier, both driving Toyota GR Yaris cars, will face tough competition from their Toyota teammates Elfyn Evans and Takamoto Katsuta.

Hyundai Motorsport is sending a formidable trio of i20 Ns, featuring Esapekka Lappi, Thierry Neuville, and the skilled Spaniard Dani Sordo.

Ott Tänak, Pierre-Louis Loubet, and privateer Jourdan Serderidis will showcase their talents in M-Sport Ford Pumas.

In the premier support category, Kajetan Kajetanowicz leads the way in a Škoda Fabia RS Rally2, with Grégoire Munster (Ford Fiesta Rally2) and Karan Patel (Ford Fiesta R5) also vying for success.
