It should be noted that once completed, the Arua Hill Stadium Park will cater for multiple sports disciplines, including football, volleyball, netball,  basketball, badminton, and tennis.

The construction of the Arua Hill Park Stadium has dragged over the past four years, with glaring uncertainties of completion.

Media reports have attributed the delays to financial constraints faced by owner and entrepreneur Joel Jaffer Aita, who also threw in the towel as Arua Hill SC owner.

And Koboko Municipality Member of Parliament Charles Ayume, has cried out to the government for a bailout.

"Rt. Hon. Speaker, there is a private investor in West Nile, Arua City, developing a stadium," Ayume was quoted by New Vision on Thursday.

"He took out a lease from city authorities, and it is a 20,000-seater probably at 40%. If the government could reach out to this private developer, as is the norm when we are hosting international events, to see if we can infuse him with some support."

Following the plea from Ayume, State Minister for Sport Peter Ogwang vowed to contact Aita to forge a tangible way out.

"I will be interested in finding the contacts of the private investor to see how we could look at the corporation between the government because what we need is to encourage many investors in sports infrastructure."

It should be noted that once completed, the Arua Hill Stadium Park will cater for multiple sports disciplines, including football, volleyball, netball,  basketball, badminton, and tennis.

Meanwhile, the troubles surrounding Arua Hill have witnessed the club relegated from the Uganda Premier League to the FUFA Big League (second tier).
