Stanbic Black Pirates lead the Nile Specia National Sevens table with 93 points, followed by Kobs and Heathens with 89 and 84 points, respectively.
Hope Missionaries have partnered with Tororo Rugby Community to provide a free medical camp to fans and players during the Mileke Border Sevens that take place over the weekend.
The missionaries are some of the main local sponsors, alongside the textile company, Eminent Heights and Coconut Beach, who have teamed up to boost the two-day event.
“On top of their contributions, Hope Missionaries will provide a free medical camp to everyone who will attend the tournament,” Timothy Byaruhanga, the chairman of Tororo Rugby Community, said during their unveiling.
The penultimate series of the Nile Special Sevens was taken to Tororo as part of the Uganda Rugby Union’s agenda to spread the sports wide.
The Mileke and rugby family will also celebrate the contributions of the late Aredo Mileke on his home turf for the first time.
Stanbic Black Pirates lead the men’s table with 93 points, followed by Kobs and Heathens with 89 and 84 points, respectively.
Defending champions Jinja Hippos trail in fourth with 73.
