Nile Special is the official sponsor of the 2023 Jinja Fun Rugby after signing a pact with the organisers.

The beer brand took over the sponsorship from Guinness who have been powering the event for the last few editions.
“We’re glad to confirm that Fun Rugby has partnered with Nile Special to bring something more special this time round,” the tournament manager of the event Joshua Wakabi told the media.
“There are some adjustments this season as we look to give fans the best experience and create more fun,” he added.
Among the changes include shifting the venue from dams Water where the tournament has been held for 17 years to Kakindu Stadium at the heart of Jinja City.
“As you know, we’re the number one fan of rugby in Uganda but we also want to give the fans an experience. We shall have entertainment but above all, the fans will get to interact with their favourite players who will be coaching them,” Nile Special’s Eastern Regional sales manager William Akankwasa added.
Kenya’s Masinde Muliro University of Science and Technology are the defending champion.
