Alphonso Davies agent reveals reason for stalling Bayern renewal
Canada international Alphonso Davies is currently stalling on contract renewal at Bayern Munich, and his agent Nedal Huoseh has revealed why.
The 22-year-old left-back is one of the stars at the Allianz Arena, but his current deal expires in 2025.
The Bavarians have tabled a renewal offer, but it has remained unsigned. The reason has now been revealed by the player's representative.
Why Davies has not renewed with Bayern
Huoseh has explained that instability in the Bayern Munich leadership is the reason his client has yet to extend his deal, stating that they will wait till 2024 to see if the situation improves.
Bayern fired their manager Julian Nagelsmann in the middle of the season, replacing him with Thomas Tuchel, a decision that has not had the desired effect.
They were close to losing the Bundesliga title for the first time in 10 seasons going into the final game of the season; however, poor results by Dortmund saw the title return to Bavaria.
This saw the club's CEO, Oliver Kahn, and sporting director, Hasan Salihamidzic, lose their jobs.
Alphonso Davies agent Nedal Huoseh: “There seems to be too much instability and uncertainty about the direction of Bayern now”, told BILD. 🚨🔴🇨🇦
