Barcelona’s Joao Felix's to get stunning 900% Salary increment
Barcelona star Joao Felix's salary at Barcelona is set to get an incredible salary increase, according to recent reports.
Joao Felix's Salary Increase at Barcelona
Joao Felix initially joined the Blaugrana on a significantly lower wage due to Barcelona's financial constraints, but his salary has now been increased by 900%, as confirmed by LaLiga.
Initially, his annual salary was set at a modest €400,000 (£344,440) per year, a figure far below the norm for players of his stature, as per Daily Mail
Joao Felix’s 900% salary increase
LaLiga has confirmed a dramatic 900% increase in Felix's salary. This adjustment, confirmed by the league’s president, Javier Tebas, was made for fair play purposes. The new agreement elevates Felix's annual earnings to approximately €4 million (£3,444,400), an increase from the previously agreed upon €400,000.
This salary increment, while significant for Felix, still positions him below the top earners in the club and the league. Notably, even after this increase, Felix's salary at Barcelona remains considerably lower than his reported €14.5m annual salary at Atletico Madrid.
Felix's performance at Barcelona and future prospects
Despite fluctuating form, Felix has contributed six goals and three assists in 22 games for Barcelona in all competitions.
His initial willingness to accept a lower salary highlights his commitment to joining his 'dream' club, but there are no assurances that he will be allowed to make a permanent move to the Blaugrana in the future.
Although there are ongoing discussions about making his move permanent, Barcelona's financial constraints are a critical consideration in these deliberations.
