Kampala Queens nowhere as CECAFA champions rise in continental rankings
JKT Queens from Tanzania slotted into the top ten of the International Federation of Football History and Statistics (IFFHS)'s ranking for Africa's best women’s clubs over the last year.
The Tanzania league champions sealed their double when they rose high to win the 2023 CAF Women’s Champions League CECAFA qualifiers in Njeru last year.
The two achievements propelled JKT Queens to sixth place on the continent after gaining 100 points.

South African moneybags Mamelodi Sundowns dropped to the second position as AS FAR Rabat from Morocco rose to the summit.
“The ranking is based on the performance of clubs in international and national tournaments within the last 12 months,” IFFHS highlighted the period that was considered.
FAR Rabat is the reigning champion of the CAF Women’s Champions League after beating Mamelodi Sundowns to the crown last year.
