The 17-year-old’s dazzling runs and relentless attacking threat stood out in a thrilling 4-3 loss in Milan, which saw Barcelona narrowly miss out on a place in the final after a 7-6 aggregate defeat.

Despite the heartbreak, Yamal’s performance was a reminder of his extraordinary talent and potential.

Lamine Yamal's efforts couldn't help Barcelona progress.

The young forward already scored five goals in this Champions League campaign, ranking third among teenagers in a single season behind Erling Haaland and Kylian Mbappé.

His 14 dribbles on the night highlighted his fearless style, drawing comparisons with some of the game’s greatest dribblers.

His ability to repeatedly beat defenders under intense pressure showed why many see him as one of the brightest prospects in world football at the moment.

Yamal’s dribbling prowess this season is exceptional, with over 138 successful dribbles in La Liga alone, putting him on track to challenge records set by legends like Lionel Messi and Neymar.

While Neymar’s peak saw him complete 168 successful dribbles in a single La Liga season (2016-17), Yamal’s current trajectory suggests he could soon reach similar heights.

Barcelona may have suffered a painful Champions League exit, but Yamal’s near-record-breaking display offers a glimpse of a new era of brilliance at the club.

With the season still ongoing, all eyes will be on Yamal as he continues to dazzle and develop into a true footballing icon.
