Lionel Messi's Inter Miami unveiling to be broadcast at halftime of Gold Cup final

Major League Soccer (MLS) are reportedly in discussions with CONCACAF, Univision and FOX to air a portion of Lionel Messi's Inter Miami unveiling at halftime of the Gold Cup final on Sunday.

Inter Miami announced that the event will take place at the DRV Pink Stadium in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. Los Angeles' SoFi Stadium is scheduled to host the Gold Cup final at the same time. 

According to The Athletic, MLS, and CONCACAF executives have been in touch about the overlapping events, and while Fox and Univision have not yet finalized details, they hope to maximize the impact and audience of both regional events.

Messi is expected to arrive in the United States on Tuesday before an official announcement from the club this week, one source confirmed.
