The father of Super Eagles star Ademola Lookman has expressed his sheer delight at Nigeria’s Africa Cup of Nations victory against Angola.
Pulse Sports Nigeria reports that Mr Lookman was in the stands to watch his son inspire the Super Eagles to a narrow 1-0 win against Angola in the quarterfinals on Friday night.

Lookman’s father reacts
In a post-match interview, Lookman Snr said he was overwhelmed and so happy with the result, believing it gives the Super Eagles a much-needed momentum ahead of the semifinals.
'It's an understatement if i say I'm happy, I'm overwhelmed,” Lookman’s dad said in a video posted on X.com, formerly Twitter.
“I am so happy, at least for Nigeria winning this game because it's an advantage for us and gives us the drive to play the next and winning it.
He boldly predicted that Nigeria would win their next game and go all the way to AFCON glory.

“And we are going to win, I want to assure you that,” he added.
Lookman's father was visibly emotional, highlighting the family's pride at Ademola representing Nigeria in the heartwarming interview. His uplifting words underline the country's growing belief.
The 26-year-old Atalanta BC forward has been one of Nigeria’s most outstanding performers in Cote d’Ivoire.
He has scored three goals and assisted another in five matches so far at the 34th AFCON.
Ademola and his Super Eagles teammates will return next week to face Cape Verde or South Africa in the semifinal.
