‘There is zero cooperation’ - Ex-Turkish player claims Osimhen was poor despite scoring in Goztepe win
Galatasaray claimed a narrow 2-1 win against Goztepe over the weekend as they continued their charge for the Turkish title.
Osimhen, who has been in form since joining the Turkish champions, scored Galatasaray’s first goal in 2025.
He has now scored 10 goals in 12 appearances for Galatasaray in the Turkish League and also the fourth-highest goal scorer this season.
Gökmen speaks on Osimhen’s performance
Özdenak has pointed out that Galatasaray struggles in games against more formidable opponents, despite Osimhen's explosive speed and aerial supremacy, making him a nightmare for Turkish defences.
According to Habersarikirmizi.com, Özdenak said, "Victor Osimhen was not on the field in the Göztepe match. There is zero cooperation in the attack.
"We see that Galatasaray has difficulty against teams that are physically strong and play with contact. So the transfers to be made should be based on the physicality and athleticism that you lack."
Despite Galatasaray's superb team, Gokmen has encouraged The Lion to buy a top-tier striker with physicality and athleticism to compete with the Nigerian international.
Meanwhile, Chelsea, Paris Saint-Germain, Juventus, and other teams are reportedly interested in Osimhen, who is one of the most sought-after strikers in Europe.
However, the former African Footballer of the Year has promised to finish out his contract at Galatasaray and will not be leaving in January.
