Salim Jamal Magoola

The Uganda Cranes' reliable goalkeeper, Salim Jamal Magoola, was a standout performer in his team's 1-0 victory over Moroka Swallows in the DStv Premiership on Friday.

Jamal played the full match and achieved his second clean sheet of the season, securing Richards Bay's first win of the campaign.

Khalid Aucho and Gift Fred

Uganda Cranes' assistant captain, Khalid Aucho, along with his compatriot Gift Fred, have traveled to Kigali with Young Africans for their CAF Champions League second preliminary round clash against Sudanese side Al Merrikh.

The match will take place at the Pele Kigali Stadium, where "Tiimu ya Wanainchi" aims to reach the group stages of the CAF Champions League for the first time since 1998.

Denis Onyango

Former Uganda Cranes skipper Denis Onyango is part of the Mamelodi Sundowns squad that traveled to Dar-es-Salaam, Tanzania, to face Burundian side Bumamuru FC in the CAF Champions League second preliminary round.

In the first leg at the Chamazi Complex, Masandawana secured a resounding 4-0 victory. Unfortunately, Onyango did not make the 18-man squad for the match.

Taddeo Lwanga

Taddeo Lwanga, the combative midfielder currently playing for Rwandan side APR FC, is expected to lead his team against Egyptian powerhouse Pyramids FC in the CAF Champions League second preliminary round.

The match will take place on Sunday at the Pele Kigali Stadium.

Lwanga played a pivotal role in guiding APR FC to a 3-1 aggregate victory over Somalia's Gaadiidka FC in the first preliminary round.

Joackim Ojera, Simon Tamale, Charles Bbaale, and Musa Esenu

The Ugandan quartet representing Rayon Sport are currently the most prominent contingent at their club.

All four players made the traveling squad to Libya to face Al Hilal Benghazi in the CAF Confederation Cup second preliminary round first leg.

However, due to the devastating Libyan floods that have tragically claimed over 11,000 lives, the game was postponed.

Both clubs have agreed that Rayon Sport will host both legs in Kigali next week.
