Newcastle defender Kieran Trippier rebuffed fans who engaged in angry comments following the Magpies defeat to struggling Bournemouth at the Vitality Stadium.
The defeat to Andoni Iraola’s side meant they have now lost consecutive games after losing to AC Milan in the Champions League in the middle of the week.
What happened
The defeat also meant they have only won two of their last six games, winning three and drawing one.
The result, coupled with the performance, angered a section of Newcastle fans who let out their displeasure. Former Tottenham star Trippier was not having it, however, as he challenged the fans, as seen in a video clip.
The stadium noise muffled most of what he said in the video that went viral, but before stewards and his teammates took him out of the situation, he was heard asking the supporters, "How many injuries have we got?"
“How many injuried have we got?”.

According to Sofascore, Newcastle had eight first-team players out before the match, and during the game, Miguel Almiron sustained an injury and was subbed off.
Meanwhile, Newcastle stars were racially abused on social media after their controversial 1-0 win against Arsenal.
The Magpies ended the Gunners' unbeaten run in the Premier League but at the expense of a debatable decision.
The VAR decision left Arteta in disarray, who claimed that the role of the VAR was disgraceful and embarrassing during a furious tirade.
And after the match, Bruno Guimaraes and Joe Willock were both targeted on social media with disgusting racial abuse.
