Cyrus Kakuru led Uganda knocking 60 runs off 70 balls Kenneth Waiswa and Brian Masaba also each contributed 39 runs, while Riazat Ali Shah and Simon Ssesazi both managed 25 runs.

The Cricket Cranes bounced back from defeat at the ongoing four one-day international series with a 183-run victory over Qatar on Saturday at the Doha University of Sports Science and Technology.

Cyrus Kakuru led Uganda knocking 60 runs off 70 balls Kenneth Waiswa and Brian Masaba also each contributed 39 runs, while Riazat Ali Shah and Simon Ssesazi both managed 25 runs.

The day's outstanding performance was with the ball for Uganda, as Kenneth Waiswa (3/8) and Henry Ssenyondo (2/9) were the pick of the bunch.

However, Cosmas Kyewuta, who came in for Juma Miyagi, put in a shift, and the veteran Frank Nsubuga who was also in the side for Alpesh Ramjani.

"I am very happy for the win and to level the series. I thought today we played much better than in the first game; the intensity was better even though we didn't start well with the bat," noted team captain Brian Masaba.

"But credit to our late order that came to the party, and the intensity remained good when we came out to the field. Cosmas Kyewuta and Riazat started well, and Waiswa (Kenneth) completed the job for us."

Masaba added: "The plan stays the same for Sunday, and we will look to rest tonight and get our energies ready for the game as we hope to be out there and execute again."

The Cricket Cranes will be in action tomorrow with the series level at one all.
