A host of reports have surrounded Vipers SC Alex Isabirye's contract situation, with many alleging he only signed a short-term contract in March 2023.

The reports added he had only been tasked to turn the club's season around in the Uganda Premier League and the Uganda Cup.

And, while he triumphed at both, other reports have still gone ahead to claim that Isabirye could be set for the exit door in preference of a foreign coach.

But, the tactician has had his say on the situation stating he is contracted, with confidence he will still be at the club next season.

"I don't know why people talk about my contract situation yet I have it and it's existent," the tactician told Pulse Sports Uganda.

"I didn't sign for a month or two, I have a running contract," he added before clarifying further; "I signed a two and a half years' contract."

The modest and always humble coach further added the club hasn't talked to him about a replacement, contrary to media reports.

"The administrators have the perfect answer for that, but we've not met about being replaced or working with someone or anything like that."

Efforts to reach the club's CEO, Mr. Njuba Simon for a comment and clarity on the matter were futile.

Joining from BUL FC, he replaced Brazilian-Spanish Beto Bianchi, and has established himself huge in the history books.

Isabirye delivered the club's first ever domestic double in the preceding 2022/23 campaign.

He is a serial winner as he also boasts a league title with URA FC and a Uganda Cup for the latter, BUL and Victoria University.

Besides the aforementioned sides, Isabirye has previously coached at Kyetume FC, Soana, Busoga United and Somali side Horseed.
