He has been through the national team ranks, featuring at the U17 and U20 levels.

Former Soltilo Bright Stars FC midfielder Ivan Irinimbabazi completed his debut with Greek outfit SFK Pierikos in their one-all draw with Thyella Katsikas on Sunday.

His first match came just days after joining and signing a two-year employment contract with the club from Bright Stars.

Irinimbabazi is a Bright Stars' Junior Team graduate, a team he also represented at the senior level for the past two and a half seasons.

He left the club after making 15 league appearances in that time and five in the current Uganda Premier League campaign.

He has been through the national team ranks, featuring at the U17 and U20 levels.

Irinimbabazi has also previously played for St Mary's Secondary School, Kitende (SMASK), a team he helped win the 2022 National Schools Championship.

Meanwhile, the stalemate put Pierikos fifth with 34 points on the 18-team table in Group Two of the Gamma Ethniki (third-tier of Greece football).

About Pierikos

Pierikos plays in the Third Division of Greek football, the Gamma Ethniki, having been relegated in the 2021/22 season.

The club hosts its matches at the Municipal Stadium of Katerini, a town where the club was birthed in 1928.
