UGANDA CUP KCCA against Bright Stars headlines quarterfinal business

Allan Damba • 08:57 - 22.03.2023

It will repeat the 2021/22 Stanbic Uganda Cup round of 16 as Soltilo Bright Stars FC host fellow top-flight side KCCA FC in the same competition at the same stage.

The developments were confirmed in a Wednesday draw held at the FUFA House, Mengo.

Last year, Bright Stars eliminated the 'Kasasiro Boys' after a 1-0 win at the MTN Omondi Stadium, Lugogo, courtesy of Marvin Joseph Youngman.

However, the nine-time holders will be keen to avenge, this time away at the Kavumba Recreation Grounds.

Meanwhile, finalists Vipers SC will play at home for the first time this season in the Cup when they host FUFA Big League side Calvary FC.

Defending champion BUL FC, who eliminated SC Villa, will be away to Big League outfit Police FC, aiming to master glory again this season.

Joint record holders Express FC will then travel to Northern Uganda to take on Adjumani TC FC to salvage positives from an indifferent campaign.

The matches will be played three weeks from now, between April 10th-15th, on a one-legged basis.
