After an absolutely dismal start to the season, KCCA have since recovered and now sit nine points adrift of leaders Kitara FC, who have played a game more.

KCCA FC managed to grind out a hardly fought but massive 2-1 Uganda Premier League victory over Gaddafi FC at the latter's arena on Friday.

Ettiene Katenga and Muhammad Shaban netted the Kasasiro Boys' goals to pick maximum points and their seventh across all competitions on the road.

The victory saw KCCA ascend from seventh to sixth on the League log with 35 points in 22 games.

They have now won five on the bounce in the league, a show of the kind of impact head coach Abdallah Mubiru has had on the team since taking over last year.

After an absolutely dismal start to the season, KCCA have since recovered and now sit nine points adrift of leaders Kitara FC, who have played a game more.

On the other hand, Gaddafi, who scored first through a Rashid Mpata penalty, continue to flirt with relegation.

They occupy the last relegation spot (14th on the 16-team log) with 18 points accumulated after 22 games.

KCCA will play their next match against Mbarara City FC at the MTN Omondi Stadium, Lugogo on April 18, while two days earlier, Gaddafi would have entertained UPDF FC.
