His talent continued to shine when he moved to Kibuli SS, leading the school to the secondary school championship semifinals and winning the East African Secondary Schools championship in Arusha, Tanzania.

Lugazi Football Club has completed the signing of goalkeeper Fahad Imran from Bukamba United, the FUFA Big League club announced on Thursday.

The goalkeeper joins on a three-year contract that runs until June 2026 with the option for an additional year.

The former Uganda U23 goalkeeper has spent the last five years honing his skills at Bukamba United in Mukono, a fourth-division side.

His footballing journey began earlier, with roots in the Big Talent Soccer Academy, a program established by Ugandan superstar Eddy Kenzo.

Imran said, "To join Lugazi FC is an incredible honor, and I have worked hard all my life to get to this moment, overcoming many obstacles along the way."

The goalkeeper's journey through football has seen him develop through various stages.

He first made a mark at Namagabi Secondary School, where he played a pivotal role in helping the school qualify for the national finals three times.

His talent continued to shine when he moved to Kibuli SS, leading the school to the secondary school championship semifinals and winning the East African Secondary Schools championship in Arusha, Tanzania.

Imran has also made notable contributions in the Masaza Cup. In 2020 and 2021, he featured for Butambala Ssaza, showcasing his goalkeeping prowess.

The following year, in 2022, he joined Ggomba Ssaza, guiding them to the quarter-finals before narrowly losing to Busiro.

His recent performances have been with Butambala, where he continued to impress with his exceptional goalkeeping skills.

Lugazi FC has been active in the primary transfer window, and have acquired Latif Kiyemba, Sam Ssemugugu, Ronald Ssempala, Alvin Birungi, Freedom Mungudit, James Okiror, Abraham Opio, Mubarak Mitala, Andrew Odong, Abdul Kalanzi and Samuel Nsubuga. 

Brian Elijah Ssali, Paul Wasswa, Louis Anguti, Derrick Ochen, Muhammad Lubega, Isaac Tamale and Faisal Matovu have signed new contracts. 

The club's new season campaign kicks off with a home game against Ndejje University on September 27th.
