NEC's winless run in their last three outings has drawn them out of the green zones but their coach Michael Lukyamuzi wants to change that when they host Soroti City on Thursday.

NEC had shown a lot of potential by challenging the big boys Kitara, Police and Mbarara City in the StarTimes FUFA Big League promotion battle.

However, a winless run in their last three outings has drawn them out of the green zones but their coach Michael Lukyamuzi wants to change that when they host Soroti City on Thursday.

“We are a little cautious now but still want to go all out because we need to get back to our winning ways,” Lukyamuzi told Pulse Sports.

“This is the best chance to turn our course. We signed many players during the window and it has been hard to fit them in but we’re now good to go,” he explains their struggles.

Among the players signed during the midseason include former Uganda Premier League most valuable player Geoffrey Sserunkuma who has failed to make an impact.

In this month, the team has gone winless drawing 1-1 away to Mbarara City before losing to Kitara and Luweero United home and away respectively.

Kitara leads the log with 43 points, Mbarara City follows with 40 and Police close the top three with 39, two ahead of NEC.
