This is not the best of times for supporters of Sporting Lagos and Nigeria Super Eagles after valuable points were dropped at home.

Newly promoted NPFL outfit, Sporting Lagos have found themselves emulating the lacklustre performance that have characterised the recent outings of Nigeria Super Eagles.

The latest disappointment unfolded after a dull 1-1 draw with bottom-of-the-table side Heartland FC on Sunday in the NPFL.

The anticipation was palpable as fans of the club known as Noisy Neighbours found their way to the Mobolaji Johnson Stadium in Onikan to welcome the Naze Millionaires.

The Tech Boys were looking to bounce back from the painful defeat to former league leaders Lobi Stars the last time.

However, from the blast of the whistle, it became clear it was one of those days - one marketed by missed chances and an overall lack of cutting-edge in the final third.

Heartland shocker
