The Red Eagles had defeated Onduparaka, BUL FC and Busoga United before the trip to Kavumba.

Express FC and Soltilo Bright Stars played out a 1-1 draw at the Kavumba Recreational Center on Tuesday evening.

James Odoch’s side required a second-half penalty from Allan Kayiwa to leave Kavumba with a point, having gone a goal down in the first half.

Ibrahim Kasinde gave the hosts an early lead in the 17th minute, and James Odoch’s side needed a response to maintain their good run of form.

Express dominated the ball in the second half but could not find the winner.

The Red Eagles have enjoyed improved performances in the second round and got into the fixture on the back of a three-game winning streak.

The Red Eagles defeated Onduparaka, BUL FC and Busoga United before the trip to Kavumba.

Bright Stars, meanwhile, had ended their four-match losing streak in the league with a 1-0 win over Onduparaka last week and hoped to build on that on home soil.

The point moved Express to 29 points after 22 games. They occupy ninth place on the 15-team log with six games to play.

Meanwhile, Bright Stars are 11th, on 28 points, nine above the relegation zone.
