They return to action on Wednesday evening to face Stellenbosch FC, aiming for their eighth consecutive league win at Lucas Masterpieces Moripe Stadium.

Mamelodi Sundowns are quickly back in action, with the league resuming swiftly after they secured a spot in the MTN 8 Cup final.

Masandawana clinched a 2-1 victory over rivals Kaizer Chiefs to advance 3-2 on aggregate last Saturday.

They return to action on Wednesday evening to face Stellenbosch FC, aiming for their eighth consecutive league win at Lucas Masterpieces Moripe Stadium.

Head coach Rulani Mokwena believes the victory over Kaizer Chiefs has bolstered his team's morale, propelling them towards further success in the league.

"Securing victories against two of our rivals in one week, Orlando Pirates and Kaizer Chiefs provides a significant morale boost. It fuels our motivation heading into the upcoming clash with Stellenbosch," Rulani told the club media.

Denis Onyango's team has showcased impeccable form, winning all seven league games this season, with 14 goals scored and only two conceded.

The Brazilians marked a milestone with their 1-0 triumph over Orlando Pirates, matching the Kaizer Chiefs' record of a 31-game unbeaten streak.

The last league game they lost was in September 2022 against SuperSport United. Since then, they've accumulated 25 wins and six draws, mirroring Chiefs' unbeaten run from January 15, 2005, to November 16, 2005, during which they secured 15 wins and 16 draws.

Former Uganda Cranes captain Denis Onyango is yet to make his season debut as he remains an understudy to Bafana Bafana captain Ronwen Williams.

As Onyango's Sundowns prepare to face Stellenbosch, anticipation builds to see if they can extend their impressive unbeaten run in the league.
