And, East African powerhouse Young Africans SC are reportedly hugely interested in netting him down to a contract.

Thirteen-time Uganda Premier League champions KCCA FC will sweat to tie their star talisman Muhammad Shaban to a new contract at the end of the season.

Shaban joined the Kasasiro Boys at the start of the 2022/23 campaign on a two-year contract and it's bound to end when this campaign comes to a close.

And, East African powerhouse Young Africans SC are reportedly hugely interested in netting him down to a contract.

Reliable sources in Tanzania have intimated to Pulse Sports that the club intends to make a move before the end of the season.

Meanwhile, it's far from certain about whether KCCA will offer Shaban a new contract, as they hope to shrug off competition from elsewhere.

Shaban is the 2023/24 Uganda Premier League joint-league top-scorer, along with Soltilo Bright Stars FC marksman Nelson Senkatuka on 11 goals.

The 26-year-old has also scored two Stanbic Uganda Cup goals so far this season.

Since his return to KCCA, Shaban has netted 16 goals in 36 games.

He has also previously played for Onduparaka FC for two spells, Vipers SC and Moroccan giants Raja Casablanca.
