StarTimes Uganda Premier League outfit UPDF FC have been shocked by third-division side Bunyaruguru United FC in Round 32 of the Stanbic Uganda Cup.
The Army side were defeated 2-1 by the Western Region side in the game played at Nyakasharu Playground in the Rubirizi district on Thursday.
After becoming the first team from Rubirizi district to reach Round 32, Bunyaruguru continued writing more history by advancing to Round 16.
UPDF became the second SUPL team to be eliminated from Round 32 after Blacks Power FC who fell to fellow to their counterparts Wakiso Giants FC.
And the sixth overall after URA FC, Arua Hill SC, Maroons FC, and Gaddafi FC whose journey ended in Round 64.
Meanwhile, Buganda Regional League side Kiyinda Boys FC are also still going strong in the Cup after ejecting Premier League side Gaddafi in Round 64.
Kiyinda dumped out Western Region outfit Kigezi Home Boyz FC 2-1 in Round 32 at Mityana Ssaza Ground on Thursday.
Seven teams have booked their slots in Round 16 already; Bunyaruguru United, Kiyinda Boys, Vipers, Soltilo Bright Stars, Mbarara City, Wakiso Giants, and Kitara.
Holders BUL FC will host nine-time winners SC Villa at FUFA Technical Center, Njeru on Friday in what will be a repeat of last year's quarterfinal.
Then, BUL edged Villa 2-1 after extra time en route to winning their first trophy in history against Vipers SC.
Buganda Region side Kisugu United FC who eliminated SUPL side Maroons FC will host West Nile Region side Paidha Black Angels FC at the Bugolobi Coffee Grounds on Friday.
