Arua Hill captain Rashid Toha will have a tough day in office next month as his South Sudan faces Egypt in an international friendly ahead of their 2023 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier.

On the other side, Egypt needs just a point against Guinea in Morocco to seal their qualification.

“Egypt's first football team, led by Portuguese Roy Vitoria, will play a friendly match on June 18 next month against South Sudan,” the Egyptian Football Association confirmed.

“It was decided to hold a friendly match between Egypt and South Sudan at Cairo Stadium at exactly eight in the evening. The Egyptian national team is linked to a match against Guinea on June 14 in Morocco as part of the confrontations in the fifth round of the qualifiers for the 2024 African Nations Cup, which will be hosted by Côte d’Ivoire,” the translation from Arabic adds.

Other notable players expecting summons include Express’ defender Joseph Dhata and striker Tito Okello.
