The debate over who is the better player only promises to intensify as both do not look like they are slowing down any soon.

Nearly two years back, Manchester United's Marcus Rashford and Arsenal's Bukayo Saka were the subjects of racist abuses from English fans after the pair missed crunch penalties as they lost the 2020 Euro final to Italy.

Unfazed, the two have turned fortunes around, turned into world beaters, and have become some of the most talked-about names in Europe and all over the globe.

The two have indeed drawn comparisons from various sections of fans, including their Ugandan fans.

"Rashford offers a team more goals, yet Saka carries a threat to defences the entire 90. I will fight to have both in my team," a fan tweeted after the pair excelled yet again, over the weekend.

Rashford netted twice to take his season tally to 24 goals across all competitions, as Man United comfortably dispatched Leicester City FC at Old Trafford on Sunday.

He now has a 32-goal contribution for the Red Devils this campaign.

That was after Saka had led a spirited Arsenal comeback as they beat Aston Villa 4-2 on Saturday. His goal took his league goal contribution to 17, including nine goals and eight assists.

"I would take Rashford because, at the moment, he promises a goal every game," Stephen Mayambala, a Chelsea fan tweeted.

"Saka is the boy, he will give you both goals and assists in plenty, yet his stats do not entirely tell his game," Jonan Tusiime differed.

The debate over who is the better player only promises to intensify as both do not look like they are slowing down any soon.

As both look to lead their respective sides to glory this season, the biggest winner is the England head coach Gareth Southgate, who will certainly have two fully fuelled forwards ahead of the 2024 Euro qualifiers.
