Kasule Moses' 90th-minute goal ensured a win for IUIU against Victoria University, marking the decisive moment in the University Football League fixture played in Mbale on Monday.

Despite numerous opportunities, including a missed penalty for Victoria University, Head Coach Emmanuel Amango believes his side was penalised for not capitalising on their chances.

"We failed to convert our chances, including the missed penalty, but we will aim to rectify this in upcoming games," Amango reflected.

"We lost the game in the last five minutes; unfortunately, our defenders couldn't clear the ball, even though the goalkeeper made a double save,” he added.

On the other hand, IUIU Head Coach Haruna Kebba expressed pride in his young team's performance in securing a victory against a formidable opponent.

"Given that we are in the group of death, I am very proud of how my team played today. This is a young squad, with many players in their first year," Kebba shared with the media.

This victory positions IUIU joint top alongside Makerere University Business School (MUBS), following their initial 1-0 win on the road against YMCA.
