URA FC midfield sensation Godfrey Ssekibengo has joined Bukedea Comprehensive School, ahead of the forthcoming District, Zonal and Nationals and the East Africa Schools' Championships.
Ssekibengo has thrown St. Henry's Kitovu in the bin, having featured and excelled with them last year, to join the school owned by the Speaker of Parliament Anita Among Magogo.

A third historical derby in three East African countries for Taddeo Lwanga
This will make it his third historical derby appearance, having played in games of the same stature in Tanzania and Uganda.
"I had talked to him to join a school in Amolatar or Lira. Sseki has gone to Anita's school, we wish him well."
Ssekibengo was a revelation at last year’s national school football championships, where he led Kitovu to the final, losing out to St. Mary’s Secondary School Kitende.
The attacking midfielder, alongside his schoolmates John Innocent Kisolo and Amisi Bwangani, earned themselves long-term contracts with the Tax Collectors.

Meanwhile, Bukedea Comprehensive won the bid to host the 2024 Federation of East Africa Secondary School Association games.
The school outcompeted a joint bid from Jinja SSS and Jinja College and another from Namilyango.

HISTORY Vipers forward Mohamed Salem continues to write history in Ugandan football
Last evening, as Vipers comfortably beat Iganga Young FC 3-0 in the Stanbic Uganda Cup, Salem was on the scoresheet and thus became the first Mauritanian to score in the competition.
Bukedea will host the 2024 games together with their neighbouring school Amus College owned by Patrick Isiagi, the Member of Parliament for Kachumbala County.
