Apparently, Lukwago suspended Mulyanyama for three months, accusing him of selling players at the club.

Just when many thought calm was kicking in at Lugogo, top honchos at KCCA FC, Lord Mayor who is also the club patron, Erias Lukwago and board member Ali Kasirye Nganda Mulyanyama are stinging and throwing around jibes at each other.

The club was starting to move on from their managerial drama as Jackson Mayanja eventually replaced the resigned Morley Byekwaso, but are now back to the limelight, for all the wrong reasons.

Apparently, Lukwago suspended Mulyanyama for three months, accusing him of selling players at the club.

"Suspending me for accusations of selling players is something I don't get," said Mulyanyama in an interview with CBS radio.

"When players are getting sold the Lord Mayor gets to know, the club is aware and FUFA is always in the know, so this has no base," he added.

However, Lukwago has backed his decision, citing Mulyanyama's alleged corruption.

Lukwago claims Mulyanyama, among other people have been misusing funds meant for building a section of the MTN Omondi Stadium.

"It's my responsibility as club patron to take action after receiving a report from the Auditor General," he started before adding

"That there is misuse of funds meant for the completion of a stadium that we've rendered all our efforts to, that I will not accept."

"I can't just sit and look on. That's not how Lukwago does things. I can't keep quiet with UGX. 4.1 billion involved," a furious Lukwago added.

Mulyanyama, meanwhile feels the reason is politically motivated, having expressed his intentions to stand for Lord Mayor in 2026.

"Ever since I announced that I'll stand as Lord Mayor, the relationship with my brother Lukwago has changed for the worst."

"I will handle this both at a personal and political level. If it needs going to the courts of law, I will do that."

"I'll do that as soon as I receive the suspension letter from the club chairman Martin Ssekagya," Mulyanyama assured.

Efforts by Pulse Sports Uganda to reach the club bigwigs, particularly the vice president, Aggrey Asaba, about the situation were futile.

KCCA is in the race to win a 14th Uganda Premier League and at the moment lie second with 41 points, two behind SC Villa.

They take their fight for the title to Jinja on Sunday against army side Gaddafi FC, at the Kakindu Stadium.
