At the latter tournament, while they lost all four games, they competed massively against England, New Zealand and Australia, teams that are ranked third, second and first globally.

The Uganda Netball team, the She Cranes, had mixed results at their adventure in England and Wales for the Vitality Netball Nations Cup and Test Series, respectively, across three weeks.

Having won the Test Series 2-1 against Wales over three games at the House of Sports in Cardiff, the She Cranes shifted base to England for the Vitality Cup.

At the latter tournament, while they lost all four games, they competed massively against England, New Zealand and Australia, teams that are ranked third, second and first globally.

Following the games, She Cranes players Mary Nuba Cholhok, Margret Baagala, Haniisha Muhameed and Christine Nakitto have taken to social media.

Nuba expressed her utmost appreciation to her teammates for their bravery against the global heavyweights.

"I really can not put into words exactly how I am so proud of you ladies; you have been so committed, tried your hardest at every single game, and stayed positive despite the losses. And thanks to all our fans for the support; we see you and appreciate you."

Baagala couldn't hide how proud she was of the entire team: "Seeing these ladies play out their hearts out  on every minute of the series is a win of its own."

"We continue to grow & learn to get better and better. I'm super proud of this team, and I can't wait for another get-together to play netball."

Meanwhile, Muhameed, who missed the Test Series but thrived at the Vitality, noted the improvements the team has undertaken.

"It’s been amazing playing in these series. Lots of learning, massive improvement throughout, and there’s so much to be proud of."

On the other hand, Nakitto was particularly proud of the opportunity the team got to showcase their talents at such a stage.

"Today has marked the end of the test series where we exhibited our talents and faced Australia for the first time in the history of Uganda."
