It's reported that while they discussed numerous other issues in their private meeting, the primary purpose was to plan for the smooth hosting of the continental showpiece.

It's also said that Ham also informed the President of the progress of the re-developed Nakivubo Stadium.

Additionally, the celebrated entrepreneur extended a formal invitation to Museveni to grace the opening of the refurbished stadium.

Earlier this week, Statehouse Online Editor Nelson Bwire revealed: "President Museveni will start meetings with different stakeholders this week to prepare the country for AFCON 2027. Tuko #Pamoja?"

Uganda, along with Kenya and Tanzania, successfully won the bid to host the 2027 AFCON, fending off opposition from Senegal and Botswana.

Among others, Uganda fronted Namboole Stadium, St Mary's Stadium Kitende and Nakivubo Stadium as playing and training facilities, respectively.
