The goal made it his first for the club since joining over a week back. It was Kayiwa's second appearance with the club, having debuted last week.

Following his recent move to Ethiopian side Shashemene City Football Club, Allan Kayiwa is already replicating his Uganda Premier League heroics.

The former Express FC skipper netted once as Shashemene lost 3-2 to giants St. George in the Ethiopian Premier League on Friday at the Adama Science and Technology Stadium.

He netted in the 65th minute to open a 2-1 lead for his side, but they couldn't hold off St. George for long, as the latter eventually walked away with all the points.

The goal made it his first for the club since joining over a week back. It was Kayiwa's second appearance with the club, having debuted last week.

It should be noted that Kayiwa left Express after netting one goal this season in the Uganda Premier League.

Overall, for the Red Eagles, he scored 15 goals and made five assists in 23 appearances, cutting through last season.

Meanwhile, Shashemene are yet to collect a point this season and languishes at the bottom of the 16-team table.

They will host Sidama Bunna in their next match on October 26, and Kayiwa will be hoping to add to his tally in Ethiopia.
