"Hello, Express nation, it (has) been the toughest time for me to say such a thing," Kayiwa started in his farewell via his official X handle.
"However (whoever) judges me remember was (once) a Red Eagle (is) always a Red Eagle," Kayiwa added as he asked the Express fans not to judge him.

The developments come in handy after questions of Kayiwa's whereabouts during Express FC's 2-1 victory over KCCA FC on Sunday at the MTN Omondi Stadium, Lugogo.

It should be noted that Kayiwa penned down a one-year employment contract with the Ethiopian Premier League side a few days ago.

After just one game played in the Ethiopian Premier League, Shashemene sits 14th on the 16-team table with no points.
