Last season’s CAF Confederation Cup finalists Young Africans, will face Sudanese giant El Merreikh in this year’s CAF Champions League second round qualifier.

The Tanzanians advanced after mauling Djibouti Telecom 7-1 over two legs that were both played at the Chamazi Stadium in Dar Es Salaam.

Ugandan midfielder Khalid Aucho started the first leg on August 20 but failed to finish the game before sitting out in the return match on Saturday.

Yanga will battle it out against Sudanese giant El Merrikh in the second round, with the first match to be played between September 15th and 17th in the latter’s makeshift home in Rwanda.

In the other fixtures, Denis Onyango’s Mamelodi Sundowns will travel to Burundi to face minnows Bumamuru FC.

In Rwanda, Taddeo Lwanga has a huge task to guide army side APR against Pyramids from Egypt with the second leg away in Cairo.

Defending champions AL AHly from Egypt will fly to East Africa to face Ethiopia Premier League champions St. George as Tanzania’s Simba tussle it out with Power Dynamos from their neighbours Zambia.
