Mbabazi, who has stated he took over as the majority shareholder, has subsequently put the club on the market for a worthy buyer, who will come in handy as a solution to the current financial woes.

Amidst growing uncertainties about the club's new face, Arua Hill SC head coach Charles Livingstone Mbabazi has come out to declare ownership of the latter.

It's reported that the known club president, Joel Jaffer Aita, threw in the towel over alleged 'political fights' within the West Nile region, leading to a lack of interest in further investing.

Mbabazi, who has stated he took over as the majority shareholder, has subsequently put the club on the market for a worthy buyer, who will come in handy as a solution to the current financial woes.

"I took over Arua Hill, the process to transfer ownership at URSB is underway, and it's me with the 51% shares," Mbabazi disclosed to Pulse Sports in an exclusive interview.

"I have the paperwork, and we're currently in the process of change of ownership with URSB (Uganda Registration Services Bureau)."

Mbabazi further revealed that the club's known Public Relations Officer, Adams Lematia, owns the other (49%) shares.

"I own up to 51% of the shares in the club with Otelul (Adams Lematia, who has 49, and it will be up to the buyer to decide for either a full or partial purchase."

"The team is financially struggling, so I'm looking for someone who can buy the club," Mbabazi reiterated.

"We need an able person who will manage the team well, not someone who will instead have the team into the current struggles."

There have been growing reports of a lack of pay for the players at the club, but Mbabazi believes with a new owner, that should be a myth.

"We want someone who'll improve the welfare and livelihood of the players, who have given in everything despite the financial struggles."

However, despite the assertions, Arua Hill has appointed Hassan Mugerwa Takoowa as their chairman earlier on Monday.

The club has further revealed a screenshot from Joel Aita confirming that the club has brought on board new shareholders with intentions of injecting in more resources and better management.

Arua Hill is enduring their worst start to a Uganda Premier League as they sit rock-bottom with just one point in seven games.
