It has been officially confirmed that Shafik Magogo will play for his parent club, Kitara FC in the Uganda Premier League and Police FC in the FUFA Big League.
The FUFA Double licensing initiative has kick-started with federation president Moses Magogo's son Shafiq Magogo, as one of the first experiments.

"Double Licensing: We can confirm entering into a partnership with Kitara FC over striker Shafiq Magogo," a statement from Police FC on Monday, revealed.
"The player can now play for either Police FC or Kitara FC simultaneously in this 2023/24 season," it added.

Shafiq Magogo only recently joined Kitara from UPDF FC, joining his former coach Brian Ssenyondo with the Royals.

Two games into the new Uganda Premier League season, he is yet to have his first minutes at Kitara.
Meanwhile, URA FC players Bruno Bunyaga and Ronald Andabati have already featured for Kiyinda Boys in the FUFA Big League, as they lost 3-1 to Kyetume FC.
A number of other players are set to be involved in the new Double Licensing strategy, aimed at giving more playing time to the fringe players at various clubs.
