Trinity Western University, also known as 'Spartans', will compete in the Canada West Conference League in August.

The Kabojja-based side will host the CECAFA Zone Qualifiers with a ticket to the CAF Women's Champions League at stake, a feat no Ugandan women's football side has ever achieved.

In the region, only Tanzania's Simba Queens have competed in the lucrative continental championship.

Kampala Queens have since beefed their squad with the acquisition of Hadijah Nandago, Samalie Nakacwa, and Shakirah Nyinagahirwa, the latter was the Most Valuable Player and top scorer of the Women's Super League last season.

In the technical department, the club unveiled Tonny Mawejje to take charge of coaching roles, while in a significant partnership, Kampala Queens inked a deal to become KCCA FC's women's football side for the next three years.
