Substitute Ahmed Abdelkader netted Al Ahly's consolation against the eternal enemies in the Egyptian Premier League.

Mutyaba, who came on in the 17th minute for Zizo (Ahmed Mostafa Mohamed Sayed), vindicated every minute trusted with by head coach Jose Gomez.

The 18-year-old played to Gomez's instructions, tracking back superbly as he offered fine effort going upfront, despite Zamalek having only 43% of the ball.

In the 57th minute, Mutyaba drew loud cheers from the crowd after a winning the cleanly from Omar Kamal, who was seconds away from pulling the trigger in the box.

With Al Ahly chasing the game at the death, Mutyaba led a one-man counterattack from his own half into the latter's box, only for his shot to miss the target.

It was only Mutyaba's second game in the Zamalek shirt, a test he surely passed with flying colours against the FIFA Club World Cup semifinalists.

Following the victory, Zamalek are ninth with 21 points, while Al Ahly are ninth with the same tally in 13 and 11 games, respectively. Pyramids who are top with 32 points have played 15 games.
