"No, he's not going anywhere," Atukwatse responded on whether there was a chance Senkatuka could be headed out.

Soltilo Bright Stars FC has refuted talks that talisman Nelson Senkatuka could be headed to Uganda Premier League champions SC Villa.

Reports made rounds on Friday that the Jogoo intended to launch a bid for the current 2023/24 Uganda Premier League topscorer (10 goals).

However, in an interview with Pulse Sports Uganda, Bright Stars' CEO Harold Atukwatse stressed the club has no intentions of letting their player leave and that he will stay.

"No, he's not going anywhere," Atukwatse responded on whether there was a chance Senkatuka could be headed out.

"He has a running contract. He's not going anywhere," he further stressed before adding: "there has been no contact from anyone for Nelson, at least no club."

Atukwatse had earlier on X sarcastically juxtaposed the rumours to "I also want to marry Yaei Shelbia."

Yaei Shelbia Cohen is a 22-year-old Israeli model and actress.

Meanwhile, Senkatuka has been one of the in-form players in the first-half of the Uganda Premier League this season.

Besides scoring ten goals, he has also assisted twice in 15 league appearances.

Senkatuka is Bright Stars' all-time leading goal-scorer in the league with 56 goals.

He has netted 60 career goals for Bright Stars, the most of any player in the club's history.
