"We hope they pass (late fitness test), but at the moment, we are not sure if they'll be able to make the final team."

Ten-time Stanbic Uganda Cup winners KCCA FC are racing against time to have defender Mustafa Mujuzi and forward Muhammad Shaban back from injury as they take on URA FC in the competition's Round of 16.

Mujuzi missed their most recent game, a 3-0 victory over NEC FC through injury, while Shaban was withdrawn at halftime after sustaining a cut on his head.

"Mujuzi and Shaban, we still have until the game make the final decision if they will be part of the team," KCCA head coach Abdallah Mubiru told the club media ahead of the Monday bout.

"We hope they pass (late fitness test), but at the moment, we are not sure if they'll be able to make the final team."

Meanwhile, the club will definitely miss defender Haruna Lukwago and attacker Usama Arafat, who travelled with the Uganda U20 team to Accra, Ghana for the All Africa Games.

Mubiru further added on he expects his team to put up a fight and outcompete his opponents at the Mehta Stadium, Lugazi.

"We are set to go and try to outcompete our opponents. Its a knockout game, so, what matters most is the result."

"It's not an easy against a well energized and prepared team. We know the challenge they can pose but we've prepared very well to counter-react."

Today will be the third time KCCA faces URA this season, having lost 2-1 in the FUFA Super 8, before the former managed a 3-2 revenge in the Uganda Premier League in January.
