UPDF became the first team to hand the Jinja-based side defeat, as the latter had yet to lose a point prior to the game.

On an evening of thrilling Uganda Premier League action, leaders BUL FC met their maiden season loss as they fell to UPDF FC at the Bombo Military Barracks on Thursday.

Bernard Muwanga and Sam Kintu struck in either half to grant the army side three priceless points on home turf.

UPDF became the first team to hand the Jinja-based side defeat, as the latter had yet to lose a point prior to the game.

The result lifted UPDF to ninth with eight points, while BUL stayed top with 18 points after seven matches.

BUL will face an even more complicated test in their next match, as they will host current runners-up Kitara FC at the FUFA Technical Center, Njeru, on November 26.

On the other hand, in more action elsewhere, record holders SC Villa picked their second win of the season after comfortably dispatching off Arua Hill SC 3-1 at the Muteesa II Stadium, Wankulukuku.

Ronald Ssekiganda, Umar Lutalo and Peter Onzima netted for the Jogoo to recover from a two-game winless run. Frank Kalanda netted Arua Hill's consolation.

After the same game-tally, Arua Hill are still yet to win a game and languish at the base with one point and an inferior goal-difference to 15th-placed KCCA FC.

In their subsequent match, Villa will be visitors to Mbarara City FC at the Kakyeka Stadium on November 23.

A day later, Arua Hill will play host to UPDF FC at the Paridi Stadium, Adjumani.

Action returns on Friday as Soltilo Bright Stars FC hosts Busoga United, while URA FC will be home to Kitara.

In one of the biggest games in the league, KCCA FC will tussle it out with nemesis Vipers SC at the MTN Omondi Stadium, Lugogo, under floodlights.
